eduroam at LHSC & SJHC

eduroam (education roaming) allows staff to access wireless services at any participating institution by logging in with their home institution credentials.

Setup

The eduroam wireless network at LHSC/SJHC supports WPA2 with AES encryption.  A compatible wireless card with up-to-date drivers and patches for your operating system may be required.

It is recommended that LHSC/SJHC staff setup and test their computers prior to travelling to a partner institution. Once it is set up, you will have wireless access to any eduroam-enabled institution in the world at no cost.  While at LHSC/SJHC you should be using the hospitalŐs wireless network.

Appropriate use

Users of the eduroam network must abide by LHSC/SJHC Acceptable Use of Information Technology Resources guidelines as well as any guidelines set out by the home/visiting institution.

Support: Where to get help

Technical support for eduroam will be provided by your home institution. Visitors to LHSC/SJHC should contact their home institution's IT support for assistance. LHSC/SJHC staff visiting another participating institution should contact the our Help Desk for support by emailing helpdesk@lhsc.on.ca
