eduroam at LHSC & SJHC
eduroam (education roaming)
allows staff to access wireless services at any participating institution by
logging in with their home institution credentials.
Setup
The eduroam wireless network at
LHSC/SJHC supports WPA2 with AES encryption. A compatible wireless card with
up-to-date drivers and patches for your operating system may be required.
It is recommended that LHSC/SJHC staff
setup and test their computers prior to travelling to a partner institution.
Once it is set up, you will have wireless access to any eduroam-enabled
institution in the world at no cost.
While at LHSC/SJHC you should be using
the hospitalŐs wireless network.
Appropriate use
Users of the eduroam network must
abide by LHSC/SJHC Acceptable Use of Information Technology Resources
guidelines as well as any guidelines set out by the home/visiting institution.
Support: Where to get help
Technical support for eduroam will be
provided by your home institution. Visitors to LHSC/SJHC should contact
their home institution's IT support for assistance. LHSC/SJHC staff visiting
another participating institution should contact the our Help Desk for support
by emailing helpdesk@lhsc.on.ca
